macOS and Linux

Build from source for now

Prebuilt binaries are not published yet for macOS or Linux. Use the installation guide and desktop build commands from the open-source repository.

Install steps
  1. Download the Windows installer from the latest GitHub release.
  2. Run the installer and complete the local desktop setup.
  3. If Windows SmartScreen or macOS Gatekeeper prompts appear, verify the source and continue manually.

If Windows shows a SmartScreen prompt, select More info and then Run anyway after confirming the download source is the official Facenox release.

macOS Gatekeeper

If macOS blocks an unsigned build, use the manual open flow described in the installation notes until notarized builds are in place.

Start with Desktop. Add Facenox Cloud only if your team needs shared reports.

Download is step one. Cloud becomes useful once your team wants shared reports, device status, and admin tools across more than one computer.
